About USIL

Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola is a bilingual educational organization that, over the last 15 years, has graduated entrepreneurial young people who contribute to the sustainable development of society.

Our institution was founded as an innovative option in education, fostering entrepreneurship in our students. We offer education in business management in all of our programs, as well as a holistic scientific and humanistic education. USIL offers modern infrastructure, with all of the facilities and equipment students need for an optimum education experience. The university has four campuses, three of which are located in the city of Lima and one in the city of Cusco.

STRATEGIC PILLARS

ENTREPRENEURSHIP

The business spirit is our constant source of inspiration and one of the distinctive traits of our students’ education. We cultivate an entrepreneurial culture, built on a solid ethical and moral foundation that fosters innovation, leadership, competitiveness and the creation of value, enabling students to identify and take full advantage of business opportunities.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

We are committed to contributing to social development and improvement in the quality of life of those with the lowest incomes. Putting solidarity into practice, our university carries out activities geared toward sustainable development and instills awareness and sensitivity regarding their responsibilities as citizens, for the purpose of overcoming inequality, fighting extreme poverty and promoting inclusion.

GLOBALIZATION

Our global perspective prepares our students to perform effectively and efficiently anywhere in the world. Over a hundred strategic partnerships with academic institutions all over the world, corporate presence in different countries and our being a bilingual institution enable our organization to offer an education with a global outlook, meeting the highest international standards.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

We bank on inclusive, sustainable national development through education that prioritizes research and technological innovation in different fields of knowledge and its transfer to society. In each country in which we operate, we promote ample knowledge of local characteristics, a sense of belonging, pride in one’s culture, and efficient resource management. In this manner, we shape citizens committed to local development, who have a broad perspective of their surroundings.

USIL has a sports department dedicated exclusively to scheduling, organizing, carrying out and overseeing sports and recreational activities. The university encourages students to join teams that represent the university in men’s and women’s basketball, soccer, futsal, volleyball, track and field, chess, bowling, judo, jiujitsu, tae kwon do and modern dance, whether in activities on the university calendar or in external competitions and leagues such as the La Molina Metropolitan Futsal League, Co-ed Basketball League or Volleyball League.

Intramural Games / FestiUSIL

Every year, the university organizes intramural games, which bring together students from every USIL program to participate and compete in different sports and activities organized by the Athletic Department. When all of the competitions are over, FestiUSIL is held. It is a closing party at which the winning colleges and top athletes are announced, followed by an afternoon of fun and games, with music provided by popular groups.

Activities Organized by the Colleges

In addition to activities organized by the university, each college organizes different events to promote participation and camaraderie among its students, thereby contributing to their personal and professional development. Among these activities is the Day of the College, an event that brings together each program’s students and alumni on different dates to mingle and participate in athletic and recreational activities. Talks, seminars, presentations, conferences, tourism trips and other activities are also held.

USIL Choir

The university has a student choir, whose members participate voluntarily under the guidance of a professional choir director. From time to time the USIL Choir is invited to participate in different events organized by the university, as well as in cultural and artistic presentations off campus.
